Our edit facility was designed & masterminded by an editor with decades of experience who had the desire to foster a creative community of filmmakers in Atwater Village.

With 3000 square feet of space, there are 8 edit bays, reception area, machine room, full kitchen & common area. We provide infrastructure and technical support: all edit bays have machine room & ethernet/fiber drops for networked storage and internet, as well as around the clock building access. Also, free parking.

Rental clients include Fury (Dir: David Ayer), City of Gold (Dir: Laura Gabbert), Makers: Women in Politics (Dir: Grace Lee), Afternoon Delight (Dir: Jill Soloway), and Inequality for All (Dir: Jacob Kornbluth). Flash Cuts has produced and edited a number of commercials, trailers, sizzles, documentaries, and behind-the-scenes features for various productions. We can manage and coordinate your edit workflow from offline through broadcast and theatrical finish. With a trusted list of vendors for color correction, graphics, audio mix, DCP creation, tape layoff and QC services, you can be confident that your project will look and sound as it is intended. We’ve worked on several archive intensive documentaries over the years and have the resources to digitize from Digibeta, Beta Sp, DVCAM, MiniDV, 3/4″, VHS, DVD & Blu-ray through the BlackMagic Teranex 2D.

Alternatively, when it comes time to archive your own projects, we use Retrospect software to archive to LTO5 tapes (1.5TB capacity each).

“We work with established agencies, labels and organizations, as well as young talents and startups.”
